About
Artist Howard Greenhalgh

Howard Greenhalgh is a formally trained photographer (New York Institute of Photography) who found that only through painting could he find the means to express the emotions intended for the subject. He is a descendent of Cornelis Troost, considered one of the most famous Dutch Artists in the 18th Century. His love for, and experience in sailing and the outdoors is reflected in his work. Howard's work captures in fine detail the motion of his subjects, whether they are sailing ships tossed about on stormy seas or a solitary fly fisherman casting in the morning mist. His use of light and color evokes the style and meticulous detail of the original Dutch masters.

The Riverside Group, Inc. was incorporated in Maryland in 1997. Studios are located both in Maryland directly on the Chesapeake Bay just South of Annapolis as well as in Florida just north of Ft. Lauderdale.

The group is devoted to a purity of artistic representation of marine and natural subjects.

Art is available either framed or unframed, however, custom framing is available if desired. Contact us.
